Dionysios Perdikis (PhD) is a Professor, member of the Laboratory of Agricultural zoology and Entomology on 'Integrated Pest Management of crop Pests', Director of the Plant Protection and Environment Section at the Department of Crop Science, President of the Graduate Association of A.U.A., member and previous Chairman of the Board of the Hellenic Entomological Society, former Convenor of the Working Group of the international organization IOBC/wprs for olive crops, and former member of the Plant Health Panel of EFSA. He has published 116 papers in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, 103 of which are in SCI journals.

His research focuses on Integrated Pest Management of insect and mite crop pests, biological control using insects, mites and microorganisms, functional agro-biodiversity, decision support systems, electronic traps, chemical control, insect behavior, development of natural origin insecticides, etc.
