Katerina Biniari

Brief Curriculum Vitae

Associate Professor of Viticulture and Head of the Laboratory of Viticulture of the Department of Crop Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and research in Viticulture, supervising many Bsc, MSc students and PhD candidates. She is involved in the use of ampelographic and molecular methods for the identification and discrimination of grapevine varieties and rootstock varieties, in the use of cultural methods and techniques in the vineyard, in grapevine physiology, in vitro culture, in grapevine propagation and in the study of the quality characters of the grapes. She has participated in more than 20 national and European scientific projects and in some of them she has contributed as a scientific coordinator. She has published numerous scientific papers in prestigious international scientific journals and international conferences.
