Course Content

Preferences and utility, Utility maximization, Income and substitution effect, demand relations between goods, Uncertainty, Introduction to game theory, Profit maximization, The competitive model of partial equilibrium, General equilibrium and welfare, Imperfect competition, Labor market, Asymmetric information

Learning results

The learning outcomes of the course are:

Familiarity with advanced level Microeconomics with specialization of the knowledge acquired in the Microeconomics I course.

Students should master all the theory of Microeconomics with mathematical tools and complex diagrams and represent its central models.

To solve complex micro-economics problems using diagrams and mathematics.

To understand the barriers that exist in real business and consumer markets and that lead to imperfect market forms as well as to propose solutions to promote competition.
