The Delphi Economic Forum is a non-profit organization that seeks dialogue between political, economic, business, academic and other leaders in an effort to address emerging challenges and promote innovative ideas for sustainable and competitive development for Europe and the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.

During the 8th Delphi Economic Forum, the Department of Regional and Economic Development (REGED) of the Agricultural University of Athens, in cooperation with Polygreen and the Global Centre for Circular Economy and Culture in Delphi, actively participated through its students, in the initiative of informing the participants towards the reduction of the environmental footprint through the innovative Just Go Zero (Waste) program (aiming at waste reduction), which was carried out through two "smart" recycling stations that accurately measure in real time the quantities of recyclable materials collected during the conference and continuously presenting the results for each material stream at each station.

The participation of the students of the Department of Regional and Economic Development of the Agricultural University of Athens in the emblematic organization of the 8th Delphi Economic Forum, at the historic site of Delphi, promotes the symbolism that Regional Development is built on the thematic pillars of Sustainability, investing in a balanced way in Economy, Society, and Environment, but also that it is a major concern of young people who invest in knowledge, foreseeing a better tomorrow.
