COMPETENCIES OF THE COCOMMITTEE (article 18 of Law 4485/2017)

The Dean's Office has the following competences and any other competences provided for by the provisions of Law 4485/2017, the Statute, the Internal Regulations and other provisions of the applicable legislation:

It has the general supervision of the operation of the School and its Departments,

The general educational and research policy of the School and the course of its development, within the framework of the Foundation's policy, and makes a regular review of the relevant activities,

it processes the recommendations of the Assemblies of the Departments for the creation of new positions for members of the Faculty's teaching staff, as well as for members of the R.E.P., R.I.P. and R.T.I.P. and submits the relevant proposals to the Senate,

allocate the funds of the regular budget to the Departments, Laboratories, Laboratories, Clinics and Museums of the School, when these do not belong to Departments, in accordance with the decisions of the Senate,

recommends and coordinates joint courses between departments of the Faculty and other departments of the same or another Faculty,

giving an opinion on the programmatic planning of the Foundation, as far as the Faculty is concerned,

organise and determine the operation and staffing of the services of the Dean's Office,

proposes to the Senate the creation of new positions for members of the Faculty of Education following the recommendation of the Assemblies of the relevant Departments,

take the initiative to develop synergies between Departments of the Faculty or with Departments of other Faculties in order to enhance the interdisciplinary nature of the curricula.

COMPETENCIES OF KOSMITORA (article 19 of Law 4485/2017)

The Dean has the following responsibilities and any other responsibilities provided by the provisions of Law 4485/2017, the Statute and the Internal Regulations:

Convene the General Assembly of the Faculty and the Dean's Office, draw up the agenda, appoint a member of the General Assembly or the Dean's Office, respectively, as rapporteur of the issues, preside over their proceedings and introduce the issues for which no other member of the General Assembly or the Dean's Office has been appointed as rapporteur. He/she shall also ensure that the decisions of the General Assembly and the Deanery are implemented,

supervises the implementation of the Regulations of Studies of the Departments and the observance of this Law, the Statute and the Internal Regulations,

head the services of the Dean's Office,

establishes committees for the study or handling of specific issues that fall within its responsibilities,

participate in the Postgraduate Studies Committee of the Foundation, in accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 32.
