More than ever before, there is a need for volunteering action in AUA as it concerns major social and other issues, such as the refugee issue.

Furthermore, a lot of members of the academic community, especially students, have expressed their desire to volunteer, using their talents and through various actions, beyond the existing units or curriculum, on issues regarding agricultural science, culture, sports or everyday life at “our home”, the Agricultural University of Athens.

Such volunteering actions, under careful design, coordination, implementation and publicity, can constitute an important part of our student and social life.

Considering the above, the AUA Volunteering Team was established following a Senate Decision. The basic principles and regulations of the Volunteering Team are described here.
