Agricultural Enterprises

The University has farms in Kopaida, in Yalou, Spata and in Oropos. The farms and the greenhouse are used for model farming practice, as well as educational and research purposes. The farms have been leased to the Property Management and Development Company of AUA, which was established in 1993 (under law / Government Gazette 114/09.07.1993.

An underground irrigation system with surface water abstraction is installed in the farm. There is also a modern meteorological station with an automatic data recording system with sensors for measuring air and soil temperature, solar radiation, atmospheric humidity and wind speed at various levels. The farm is also equipped with agricultural machinery and tools. There is a lodge for the personnel, and two storage sheds for the machinery and storage facilities for the equipment and harvested products/crops.
