Sotirios J. Trigkas is an Assistant Professor of Financial Management, Accounting and Banking at the Department of Regional and Economic Development, based in Amfissa, School of Applied Economics and Social Sciences of the Agricultural University of Athens and holds a PhD (2020) from the Department of Economic and Regional Development of the School of Economics and Public Administration of Panteion University, in the field of Finance and Administrative Accounting Information of Banks and Organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He holds an undergraduate degree from the Department of International, European and Regional Studies (economics) of Panteion University (2007) and a master's degree from the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Finance and Banking of the Departments of Economics and International & European Economic Studies of the Athens University of Economics and Business (2010). He is also a certified Adult Educator of non-formal education (E.O.P.P.E.P.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to his election, he taught eleven undergraduate courses and three postgraduate courses in finance and accounting at the Agricultural University of Athens, Panteion University, Hellenic Open University and Metropolitan College for nine academic semesters. He has published nine scientific papers in international scientific publications (journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters), has participated in seven research projects and studies and in eleven international and five national scientific conferences, and has edited two academic books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Asian Journal of Agriculture and Rural Development (AESS Publications) and is a reviewer for international scientific publications, including Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group), Journal of FinTech and Sustainable Innovation, WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics, and Journal of Agribusiness in Developing and Emerging Economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In parallel with his academic activity, he has more than nineteen years of professional experience, of which twelve years in the banking sector (Piraeus Bank Group, Attica Bank), holds a license for the economic and technical profession and an Accountant \u2013 Tax Consultant Class A, and collaborates with the University Research Institute of Regional Development of Panteion University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His research interests include Financial Management and Accounting, Banking Economics and Financial Risk Management, Public Accounting, Financial Technology (FinTech) and Sustainable Banking, as well as Quantitative and Computational Financial Analysis and Decision-Making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
