Spiros Dourmas is application lecturer at the Agricultural University of Athens with academic subject (specialization) in law and economic applications.
He received his MA in Civil Law from the Middlesex University of the United Kingdom and holds a law degree from the University of Athens (Department of Law).
He knows excellent (with efficiency) English and French.
He teaches at the Department of Regional and Economic Development of the Agricultural University of Athens, which is located in Amfissa.
He is the chairman of the practical training and a member of the graduate theses of the Department of management, economy and communication of cultural and tourism units of the former technological education institution of Sterea Hellas.
In the past he has taught in higher education for a number of years (since 1992) at the former technological education institution of Sterea Hellas in knowledge subjects of mainly legal content. He also has teaching work in apprenticeship schools of the labor force employment organization, as well as in public and private vocational training institutes.
He has participated in regional development seminars. He was a speaker at a seminar on the development role of local self-government as an institution in combination with the policy in the field of workforce training (the development role of local self-government and the action program of the European Union for small and medium-sized enterprises), which organized in 1993 the former technological education institution of Chalkida.
He has served as a member of the committee for the friendly settlement of consumer disputes and the European Observatory of the Directorate of Tourism and Trade. He has been practicing law since 1992 as a lawyer to the supreme court in civil, commercial and labor law cases. Since 2005, he has been legally handling insurance cases of the single social security agency
