Dimitrios Tsiotas is Assistant Professor at the Department of Regional and Economic Development, Agricultural University of Athens (Amfissa, Greece) and holds a PhD (2016) from the University of Thessaly (Volos, Greece).
He holds two undergraduate degrees (in Aircraft Infrastructure Engineering / Hellenic Air Force Academy/2001 and Department of Mathematics / Kapodestrian University of Athens/2008) and two postgraduate degrees (Department of Planning and Regional Development / University of Thessaly/2009, and the Department of Mathematics/Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/2010, Greece).
He has previously taught in postgraduate programmes at the Departments of Planning and Regional Development, Civil Engineering, and Business Administration, of the University of Thessaly. He has published more than 120 articles in scientific journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters.
He is currently serving as Co-Editor of the journal Spatial Economic Analysis (SEA, Taylor and Francis Publishing, https://www.tandfonline.com/journals/rsea20), he is a member of the Editorial Board of the journals Regional Science Inquiry (RSIJ, https://rsijournal. eu/), Theoretical and Empirical Researches in Urban Management (TERUM, http://www.um.ase.ro/), Management Research and Practice (MRP, http://mrp.ase.ro/), at the scientific journal Aeihoros (https://journals.lib.uth.gr/index.php/aeihoros/index) and also maintains a secondary editorial activity in several special issues.
His research interests include (but are not limited to) Regional Science and Economics, Transport and Spatial Economics, Urban Economics and Urban Planning, Complex Network Analysis and Quantitative Methods in Regional and Urban Development.
