Deusdedit A. Rwehumbiza (PhD) is an Associate Professor of Trade and International Business and Deputy Principal – Academic, Research and Consultancy of Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) of the University of Dar es Salaam. Before his current position at MUCE he was Head, Department of General Management at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS). Prof. Rwehumbiza joined the University of Dar es Salaam in 2007 as Tutorial Assistant. He holds a BSc. in Urban and Regional Planning (Dar); BSc. in Business Administration with International Business (London); Master of International Trade (Dar); and Doctor of Philosophy (Leipzig). He teaches, researches and consults widely on policy conditions and industrialisation strategies in developing countries; entrepreneurial economics; urban economics cum trade logistics; business and trade negotiations; and internationalisation of enterprises in troubled times. Prof. Rwehumbiza has received various awards including University of Dar es Salaam First Winner Award for the Best Impact Researcher of the Year 2022; UDBS Best Researcher with Many Publications for the Academic Year 2020/2021; Winner of Emerald Literati Awards 2018 for the Highly Commended Paper; and Second Best Winner in the Emerging Markets Track at the 59th Academy of International Business (AIB) Conference held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2017.
