Dr. Antonios (Anthony) N. Rezitis is a Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of the Agricultural University of Athens (since August 2018) and Director of the Institute of Price Analysis & Marketing of Agricultural Products and Food (https://w1.aua.gr/ipama/) of the same University.
He received his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the Agricultural University of Athens. Then he obtained two master's degrees, one in Agricultural Economics (MSc) from Rutgers University (The State University of New Jersey, USA) and the other in Economics (MA) from North Carolina State University (NCSU), USA. He also received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, NCSU, USA.
He has served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, NCSU, USA. In the past, he has taught various courses in Economics and Agricultural Economics at various Greek Universities such as Thessaly, Ioannina, and Patras, as well as at the University of Helsinki (Finland).
The main research interests of Dr. Rezitis focus on issues of Agricultural Economics with applications in Price Analysis of Agricultural Products, Food, and Energy; Industrial Organization; Productivity; and Efficiency.
Dr. Rezitis has published extensively in international scientific journals such as the European Review of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Food Policy, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, Agricultural Economics, Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Empirical Economics, Economic Modeling, Applied Economics, Applied Economic Letters, Journal of Agricultural and Food Industrial Organization, Agribusiness (An International Journal), International Review of Applied Economics, International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, International Energy Journal, Economics Bulletin, Atlantic Economic Journal, Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Marketing, Journal of Applied Economics, International Advances of Economics Research, Manchester School.
He has been a reviewer of several international journals and is the editor of the international journal “Review of Agricultural Economics,” published by the Hellenic Society of Agricultural Economists. He is also an associate editor of the international journal “Agricultural Economics,” published by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, and an associate editor of the “Journal of Agribusiness in Developing and Emerging Economies.”
