Evangelos Psomas is an Associate Professor at the University of Patras, Greece, Department of Food Science and Technology, and at the Hellenic Open University. He holds a MSc degree in Quality Assurance and a PhD degree in Total Quality Management. His research interests include: Total Quality Management, Quality Assurance, Statistical Process Control, Quality Tools and Techniques, Lean - Six Sigma, Food Safety Management, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness and Food Marketing.

His scientific work includes 60 papers published in peer reviewed international journals, two of which have been selected by the editorial team of "The TQM Journal" as Highly Commended Papers (2011, 2014). He has also received the award for Outstanding Reviewer from “The TQM Journal” (Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence – 2014, 2019) and the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma (Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence – 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022).

He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management. He has been cited 2250 times by several authors in 1617 documents, while his h-index is 30. Finally, he has been included in the publicly available database of the 100,000 top-scientists published by Elsevier B.V. (2021 & 2022).
