Dr. Sofia Mavrikou (female) is an Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Cell Technology at<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the Department of Biotechnology at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), Greece. She<\/p>\n\n\n\n
holds a PhD in the development of bio-electric biosensors and in vitro toxicology (2014, AUA),<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a MSc in Natural Products and Enzyme Technology, and BSc in Biotechnology from the same<\/p>\n\n\n\n
school. All these years her research work is focused on the development of biosensors, in vitro<\/p>\n\n\n\n
toxicology, cell and tissue culture and biochemistry. Since 2007, she has participated in several<\/p>\n\n\n\n
national and international projects (funded by the industry or by public bodies). She is the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
authot\/co-author in several scientific papers in cross-discipline, international scientific<\/p>\n\n\n\n
journals, in addition to invited book chapters, and other publications in international and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
national conferences. She is also the editor of one international book and holder of one<\/p>\n\n\n\n
national patent. A recipient of the prestigious IDea Incubator Competition Prize (2nd Place) and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a Prize from the 1st Innovation competition of the Greek Ministry of Defense. She is also the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
co-founder of the AUA\u2019s spin-off company Ce.B.Tec, a pioneer in diagnostic technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
