He specializes in propagation, micropropagation, seed ecophysiology, and phylogenetic studies. From 1993 to 2005, he worked as a manager of urban green spaces in municipal districts, serving in the Department of Horticulture at the Municipality of Piraeus. He has teaching experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including lectures and laboratory courses. His research interests focus on native plant species and their use as ornamentals, as well as the conservation of species whose populations are threatened by human activity or other environmental pressures. His work includes tissue culture and propagation, the development of soil mixtures for native species, vegetation management, the integration of native plants in archaeological sites, seed ecophysiology, and the growth regulation of floricultural species.
