NOMINATION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS TO UNIVERSITY
OF EASTERN FINLAND

THIS IS INFORMATION IS INTENDED FOR OUR CURRENT ERASMUS+ PARTNERS. MY
SINCERE APOLOGIES IF YOU RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE AND WE DO NOT HAVE A VALID
AGREEMENT IN PLACE.

Dear Partner,

Starting from March 1, the University of Eastern Finland UEF (SF
KUOPIO12) welcomes nominations for student exchange for the autumn
semester 2026 (1 September \u2013 11 December), for the full academic year
2026-2027 (1 September \u2013 28 May), and for the spring semester 2027 (7
January \u2013 28 May).

NOMINATION

_Nomination deadlines:_

\u00a0 \u00a0 * Nominations for the autumn semester (Sep-Dec): 15 April
\u00a0 \u00a0 * Nominations for the academic year (Sep-May): 15 April
\u00a0 \u00a0 * Nominations for the spring semester (Jan-May): 15 September
\u00a0 \u00a0 * Nominations for traineeships: above mentioned deadlines recommended

_How to nominate your students:_

Coordinators at partner universities are asked to nominate their
candidates for student exchange at UEF in SoleMOVE [3<\/a>] system. \u00a0You can
use the SoleMOVE link and the user credentials from the previous
application rounds as they remain the same year by year. In case you
have lost your SoleMOVE credentials, or if you do not have a SoleMOVE
account, please contact international@uef.fi<\/a>

Note that it is not possible to nominate after the deadline.

_What happens after the nomination?_

International Mobility Services will create usernames to our online
application system SoleMOVE. Usernames and application instructions are
then sent directly to the students by e-mail after which they can log in
to the system and fill in the online application.

APPLICATION

Nominated students are able to submit an application based on active
bilateral agreements.

_Information on application procedure:_

_Information on courses for exchange students:__ _

Information on courses is available in Peppi. [6<\/a>] Students should choose
courses from one campus only and the choice of courses defines the
campus they will be studying on. Also, majority of courses (not ECTS)
should be from one campus and from department \/ school \/ subject.
Nominated students receive more detailed instructions.

_Learning Agreements and Online Learning Agreements:_

For EWP, UEF uses SoleMOVE system. Students are required to enclose
either a statement confirming that they have submitted an OLA to the
SoleMOVE application or, if for some reason, the home university is not
yet EWP ready, a pdf or a word copy of the Learning Agreement.

The Digital Learning Agreements arriving to SoleMOVE will be signed
digitally. The Digital Learning Agreements and Online Learning
Agreements in any other systems should have the correct receiver
information in order to be signed. In UEF, the learning agreements are
signed by the Departmental [7<\/a>] Coordinators for exchange studies . The
department of the incoming student is defined by the courses the student
chooses. This is why the majority of the courses in the Learning
Agreement need to be chosen from one department \u00a0\/ programme.

Please note that we will not process or sign any Learning Agreements
(including Online Learning Agreements) arriving prior to the
application.

_Acceptance:_

The faculties of the University of Eastern Finland admit students. After
receiving the application, \u00a0International Mobility Services will forward
it to the appropriate academic department. The department then processes
the application and the proposed learning agreement.

Once International Mobility Services receive an official confirmation of
acceptance from the faculty, an official admission document is issued
and sent to the student by e-mail 4-6 weeks after the application period
has ended. At the same time, they will receive information on practical
matters.

would kindly ask you to forward this e-mail to the right person. Also,
we would appreciate it if you could send us an e-mail and let us know
that you are no longer the contact person for the outgoing exchange
students of your university or faculty \u00a0\/department.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or
questions.

_UEF Summer School:_

The UEF Summer School [8<\/a>] will be held again on 10\u201321 August 2026!

The Summer School application period is open and runs until 1 June 2026.
Your students are very welcome to apply for our courses and nominations
are not needed.
