4624. Native Aromatic and Medicinal Plants
Course Content
Taxonomic classification of aromatic, medicinal, and melliferous plants of the Greek flora; their botanical and geobotanical characteristics, ecology and distribution, dynamics and history, and their practical and economic importance.
Learning Results
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
• identify aromatic and medicinal species of Greece,
• participate in research on medicinal and aromatic species, etc.
The Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Management joined the Faculty of Plant Sciences of the AUA. The Department operates from the academic year 2019-2020 and is based in Tthe city of Karpenisi. Housed in the building facilities of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Management of the former Technical Scool (TEI) of Central Greece.
